Now that vintage (and plain old) bikes are hype again due to the crisis, its time to take it one step further...

BLOOD, SWEAT AND TEARS_ Coppi at Vigorelli (1942)

Vigorelli Velodrome, Milano.

On June 23rd,1942.

Coppi fells and breaks his collar-bone while warming up for the pursuit final race against Cino Cinelli.

Cino Cinelli refuses to be the winner and waits until Coppi recovers to dispute the race, although he is sure he will be defeated by Il Campionissimo.

On November 7, 1942 Coppi breaks the hour record after riding to the velodrome in his own bike as a warm up..

All this during World War II.
