LUDWIG WAS DEAF_Deadmau5

This is what happened in London yesterday.

We had never been sure if he is a DJ or an artist or both, but we like it.

LET´S DANCE.

Just to balance a little bit the dry look of the previous entry, and continuing with "the problem of scale and the city", have a look at Schtroumpf blog. Instead of making the "real" city bigger by creating a microcity inside of it via stencils, this time the city shrinks to Smurf scale via photography.

Probably all of us have done a picture like these, but the consistency of this blog puts it on another level.

Much more instructive and useful than most of the lessons we´ve heard and books we´ve read about "Scale".

"...The 80’s is where I spent my youth and “The Smurfs” was my favorite cartoon when I was 5,6, and 7..."

and 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, etc...

We like the idea of graffiti not only redecorating, reinterpretating, redesigning or regaining but also rescaling the urban enviroment...

ARTBURST_DELTA Abundance

@ Alice Gallery in Brussels, Belgium.

This Exhibition gathers up quite a big bunch of work from one of our favourite street artists.

We like the geometric, architectural shapes, forms and spaces created by Delta in his early work.

For us, it is quite interesting how this geometries develop from street art or design world into real phisical volumes and shapes (sculptures) and from there to functional sculptures (urban furniture) closing the circle of painting/designing/industrial application/urban building process.

From pencil drawings in a draft stye to acrylic paintings to paper and wood 3D collages...

... from sculpture to urban furniture and enviromental design.

The idea that he has collaborated with our favourite skateboard brand, doesn´t hurt neither.

Definitely worth a look.

PS: and yes, we love the Mech-looking sculptures and urban furniture!!!
